HISTORY OF COCKAPOO PUPPIES

The Cockapoo is a hybrid dog breed, created by crossing a Cocker Spaniel with a Poodle. This intentional mix originated in the United States in the 1950s, making it one of the first recognized “designer dogs.” The goal behind the breed was to combine the Poodle’s intelligence and low-shedding coat with the Cocker Spaniel’s affectionate and gentle nature.

SIZE & COLORS

Cockapoo puppies vary in size depending on whether their Poodle parent is Toy, Miniature, or Standard. Most commonly, you’ll find Toy Cockapoos weighing between 6 to 12 pounds, and Mini Cockapoos ranging from 13 to 18 pounds. Standard Cockapoos are larger, often reaching 19 to 30 pounds, though they are less commonly bred.
